30 Days of Character Development

30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.

Dear Tyson,

You are a total spaz, and that’s why I love you. And because I know you want me to add this, in a totally non-homo way.

Take it from someone with experience, you need to relax sometimes. Yes, I know you can be a little too easy going at times, but other times you make big deals out of nothing. Trust me, that is not good for you.

I know it can be hard, but you need to accept yourself for who you are. It’s good that you’re open about your crossdressing, but there are some other things you’re keeping in that you shouldn’t.

29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?

Tyson often smells sweaty because he runs to make up for sleeping in late. He uses a body spray whose commercials show girls swarming over guys who wear it. So far, he’s had no such success.

28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?

It would probably start as a shonen sports series and become a high school drama once he stopped blading.

30 Days of Character Development

27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.

Cat’s in the Cradle: Growing up, almost anytime Tyson wanted his dad around he had to work. Really, the only times his dad was around where when he was very little and during his first World Championships.

The Lumberjack Song: After discovering he likes to wear dresses he wanted to still keep up his manly outer appearance in public.

26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

Comfort food: Hamburgers or anything with azuki beans in it

Vice: nail biting

Outfit: Yellow t-shirt, red jacket, blue jeans, and his hat

Hot drink: tea

Time of year: spring

Holiday: Christmas

30 Days of Character Development

25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

Tyson’s hands are small and thin. He has several callouses and little scrapes for his years of practicing and training at Beybladeing.

Imagine your OTP finally moving in together.  Person B is sad to say goodbye to the apartment they’ve had for years, Person A assures them their real home will never change.

30 Days of Character Development

24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?

Tyson wants someone who understands and tolerates his clingy-ness. As much as he likes when people stroke his ego, he really wants someone who can deflate his giant head. And of course, someone who’s fine with his cross dressing.

30 Days of Character Development

23.) Is your character superstitious?

Tyson is one o the most superstitious people you will ever meet: he gets creeped out by black cats, steps over cracks despite his mom being dead, backs away from open ladders, reuses to use ‘shi’ for the number four, and won’t go to a floor number 4 or even a room with a 4 in it unless he has to.

22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?

Tyson would either travel back to the age of the samurai or forward to the point where they invent lightsabers.
